The Global Impact of Spine SBRT for Spinal Metastases and Lessons Learned

The aim is to summarize the available randomized data supporting spine SBRT. To understand the technical aspects to safe delivery and the more frequent late effects to consider. We will also discuss some rare adverse effects and some planning strategies learned over the years to improve treatment plans.
Spine SBRT: approaches, patient selection, and toxicity

In this presentation, I hope to explore various approaches to the delivery of spine SBRT, including the various dose-fractionation schemes used in clinical practice. We will explore various efforts to optimize patient selection for treatment, as well as potential toxicity and predictors of increased likelihood for toxicity.
Imaging Based Response Assessment of Spinal Metastasis following SBRT

The objective of this presentation is to review the following with regards to imaging based response assessment following spine SBRT: The need and unique challenges Review the current state Developing and future solutions
Rare Complications of Spine SBRT

Spine SBRT has been demonstrated in retrospective and prospective studies to provide excellent local control with a low rate of toxicity. However, neuropathies, myelopathy, esophageal toxicty and myositis have been reported. This webinar will discuss these toxicities and management strategies.
The Current Landscape of Spine Radiosurgery

Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) are increasingly being utilized to treat metastatic patients, particularly those with a limited number of lesions (oligometastatic). Patients with spinal metastases present unique challenges but are also benefiting significantly from this trend. In this talk we will review the current evidence regarding the use of SRS/SBRT […]
Post-operative Spine Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy

Post-operative spine SBRT is being increasingly performed at both community and academic practices. However, there are specific nuances for post-operative cases that are unique and a firm understanding of the surgery performed is essential. This webinar will include a brief introduction to spine SBRT. We will then review of current surgical trends and techniques, including epidural […]
Laser Interstitial Thermotherapy in the Management of Malignant High Grade Spinal Cord Compression

Laser Interstitial Thermotherapy (LITT) is an ablative modality for deep seated soft tissue lesions monitored with real time MRI thermography. We will present our experience over more than 140 cases of patients with high grade malignant epidural spinal cord compression in which LITT was used as an alternative to separation surgery in combination to spinal […]
Spine Metastasis – Multidisciplinary Approach
Spine SBRT for Metastatic Disease: an Overview of the Latest Evidence

The intent of the webinar is to provide a summary of the latest evidence supporting spine SBRT. To understand the technical needs to deliver spine SBRT safely and understand the risks of spine SBRT for appropriate patient consent.
Spinal Meningioma Radiosurgery

Spinal meningioma are rare lesions. Despite this, considering the close intimate relationship with the spinal cord that characterizes such lesions, their treatment often represents a true challenge for all physicians. Radiosurgery represents a relatively new treatment paradigm for patients suffering from such tumors. Although preliminary reports are, at least, promising, radiosurgery for these benign spinal tumors tends […]
Multimodality Imaging of Spinal Metastasis

Spinal metastasis are among the most common sites of cancer metastasis. As stereotactic body radiation therapy to treat spinal metastasis is gaining popularity, precise determination and localization of spinal metastasis is of paramount importance. This lecture reviews different imaging modalities to assess spinal metastasis for both diagnosis and follow up.
Stereotactic Radiotherapy for Oligometastatic Cancer: Expanding Reality

The incidence of oligometastatic cancer (low burden metastatic disease) is constantly growing due to the advancement in medical imaging and increase in primary cancer cure rates. Metastasectomy and other local modalities including stereotactic radiotherapy, termoablation, high intensity focus ultrasound (HIFU) etc. have been introduced in this particular clinical scenario. New terms like metastasis-directed therapy (MDT) […]
SRS in Spinal AVMs

Spinal Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs) are rare but very important with high morbidity pathology, especially when localized intra-medullary. We have to transfer all our knowledge about the treatment of brain AVMs in different conditions, and different organs at risk. For these reasons, it is very important to have all the necessary information including angiography, MRI, and […]
Gamma Knife Radiosurgery of Arterio-Venous Fistulas (AVF)

Intracranial arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs) are abnormal arteriovenous communications within the dura, in which meningeal arteries shunt blood directly into the dural sinus or leptomeningeal veins. Stereotactic radiosurgery has long been used for treatment of cerebral AVMs, and treatment of DAVFs would be a natural extension. In this webinar, we will cover the role, rationale, planning […]
Post-Operative SBRT

The objective of this presentation is to review the following with regards to imaging based response assessment following spine SBRT: The need and unique challenges Review the current state Developing and future solutions
SRS for Spine Tumors

Exploring, Understanding and Exploiting the Radiobiology of Radiosurgery

Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) provides a unique ability to ablate tumors while minimizing damage to surrounding normal tissues. While the efficacy and safety of SRS have been established based on several decades of treatment of intracranial and, more recently, extracranial disease, the underlying radiobiology is controversial. In this presentation, we will present and discuss the evidence […]
