This educational webinar highlights a combined 75 years of experience between Dr. Andrew Stein, Hematology Oncology and Dr. Jeffrey Y.C. Wong, Radiation Oncology at City of Hope Cancer Center.
Dr. Wong will begin by sharing his experience pioneering Total Body Irradiation (TBI), Total Marrow Irradiation (TMI) and Total Marrow Lymphoid Irradiation (TMLI) for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. As one of the world’s leading authorities in TBI, TMI, and TMLI, Dr. Wong and his team were among the first to clinically implement these highly targeted approaches and have treated more than 750 patients using TBI/TMI/TMLI-based conditioning regimens. In this webinar, Dr. Wong will discuss the evolution of TBI and TMLI, address the ongoing “dose rate” debate, and share insights from City of Hope’s extensive clinical experience, including how advanced IMRT-based techniques enable organ sparing, dose escalation, and improved treatment outcomes for patients with hematologic malignancies. This will be followed by a review of the latest clinical data by Dr. Stein.
