Re-irradiation is a key-treatment for recurrent high-grade glioma. Various radiotherapy fractionation schedules have been investigated, and other therapeutic approaches are available. However, currently, there is no standard-of-care treatment. A literature review and meta-analysis on radiosurgery, delivered on both single fraction and hypofractionation, can provide practical guidelines for re-irradiation by radiosurgery.
