This presentation will start by reviewing the relevant literature on the optimal dose-fractionation schemes for central and ultra-central lung tumors. We will delve into the recent guidelines produced by the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society and American Radium Society. Finally, we will discuss future directions in this space, often incorporating newer technologies like proton therapy and MRI-guided, PET-guided, and adaptive CT-guided photon therapy.
