Categories of Members
Membership to the ISRS is international in scope. The two different categories of memberships are as follows:
The Active Membership is open to neurological surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation biologists, dosimetrists, nurses and radiologists.
In addition to the benefits as a member (see Benefits for Members section), the Active Member is entitled to vote for the election of officers, Board Members, and on other Ballot measures.
- Radiosurgery should be the key area of work for the member
- A record consistent with the highest ethical and medical standards of his/ her profession
- Possession of an advanced educational degree
Each applicant shall become a candidate member upon receipt of their formal application and payment of fees. A candidate member shall have membership privileges. Candidate members will be voted upon at the ISRS business meeting every two years, and if approved, shall then attain the status of active members.
The Associate Membership is open to any professional whose work involves research applicable to the practice of radiosurgery. They are not eligible to vote at the business meetings of the ISRS, or to hold office in the ISRS.
- The future member shall provide information to document good standing in the chosen field to the Membership Committee
